I have a Q-45 and I am new to this forum, I would like to thank all for great info. I have 2 injectors that are open # 1 and # 3, I was wondering if I should unplug them until I can afford to replace? the car lacks power and likes to die but smells like it is running rich. I dont know if by unplugging them it would cause any other problems. Thank You, Allen

Running without 2 injectors working cause plenty of problems.

Might as well park it until you can afford to repair it and drive it.

While it's parked, walk around to the rear of the car, stare at the trunk, and concentrate very intently.

Amen.

There is an extremely small chance you have a harness failure if you tested at the connector on the passenger side of the engine, but odds are great that the injectors have failed. Aren't side fed injectors manufactured with crappy plastic resin that swells and fails a wonderful idea?

You may want to double check your test results, taking careful note of pin positions at the connecter, and/or if possible disconnect the harness and check the injectors at injector pinout.

Of course the ECU cannot bypass the harness, so it's all got to work.

I tried the stare at the trunk idea, but still no luck. Whats your secret? On a serious note I found 8 injectors online at a good price but they are from a 02-05 Q-45, if I replace them all would that be ok? I am thankful for the advice I dont want to screw it up. I checked readings at the connector all read 11.6 to 11.7 ohms except injector #1 and #3 they read open. so I removed the connector at the injector and checked it again. same reading (open). Thanks again for your time and experience, Allen

Find the letter "Y"!

I think the later injectors for the VK are different.

The VK injectors are top feed.. very different than the older side feed design.
