Hi guys,

I have a problem with getting my injectors out. I have searched the forums a lot but my situation is a little different.

I know I need to relieve the fuel pressure .. but I only know two ways.. one I heard on here by just opening the gas tank.. and the other I got from the chiltons manual I have that says to Unplug the fuel pins in the ECU box and then turn the car over until you lose pressure.

But.. my car has all parts disconnected.. except the fuel rail/injectors.. and the battery is out.. so how do i relieve pressure now to pull them out? They will turn all the way to the left.. but will not pull out.

Thanks in advanced

search for installation of a fuel pump...that should tell you how...i think it requires accessing your fuel pump cover though...which isn't all that difficult...

So I should disconnect my fuel pump to relieve the fuel pressure?

not necessarily, i'm just saying that's one way you can do it...did you find how to do it? i thought it only involved unplugging a harness and turning the car over...i'm looking it up as we speak

aha! found it...ok here's the quote...

"Begin by opening the panel to the fuse box and remove the fuse for the fuel pump. Start the car and wait for it to stall. Do this a couple more times until the car no longer wants to start. By doing so, you are releasing the fuel pressure from within the fuel line. Once the car is stalled, put the fuse back in."

Read carefully.. EVERYTHING on my engine is disconnected and pulled out.. the only thing holding it in is the Fuel Rail with the harness and the Motor mounts.. battery is out and all.

So there is no chance of turning the car on now. So .. is my only option now taking out the fuel pump to release pressure? and if yes.. when i disconnect.. will fuel come out all over the place? might be a dumb question.. just want to make sure. Thanks

Do as stated above, remove fuel pump fuse, run the car till it stalls then start it a couple more time to clear all the gas out of the lines. There will be a tiny amount pf pressure left but nothing dangerous at all. This is the only way to do this properly for all fuel injected Nissans.

Supply a 12 volt signal to one of the injectors. This will release some fuel into the intake. But it should relieve excess pressure. I would remove the gas vcap temporarily as there can be pressure in the tank that continues to supply a little bit of pressure to the fuel lines.

C-Kwik, where are you talking about supplying the 12volt to on the injector?

If you pull the injector harness, you should see two metal contacts on the injector. Supply a current to the two contacts and the injector should open. You should be able to do this with a small 9 volt battery.
