injector problem

alright. so i just got my dohc motor into my '90 chassis, got everything hooked up and wired up, egr blocked off, and i crank it over. it cranks over great, but doesn't fire up. every so often, i hear a slight pop. i checked all four plugs and wires, they spark fine. so i get to the fuel rail and take it off. then i see that the injector ground that comes out the the injector wiring casing was sandwiched in between the rail and the casing (it was hidden so i missed it when i went over the harness). so i grounded that wire and had a friend crank the car, no fuel spray at all. however i do have fuel pressure. does anybody have an idea of what could be wrong (not causing the injectors to open)?

my guess is ur injectors are messed up. get all 4 new ones for 35 bucks.

sorry i dont mean to thread jack but my ingectors are not firing either and i just changed out my injectors with brand new ones and 2 of them still are not firing its getting fuel to the injectors and it has spark the pistons are not seized up so i have not clue what the problem is???

here's what you do...Go get some noide lights (you can rent them at some auto parts stores)Plug a light into the harness where the injector would plug into.Crank motor while someone watches the light.If you see it flash, your injectors are firing or at least they're getting the signal.If not, your probably looking at the hall-efects sensor (AKA cam/crank sensor) inside the distributor. Maybe the wiring is faulty. I know the injector plugs could be coroded. Mine were and my car would run like crap but if I wiggled the injector plugs it would run fine. Try some electric contact cleaner (again at auto parts stores).
