Hey guys, I just set up my Haltech ecu and it starts up fine with the base map but idles very rough and dies after 30 seconds or so. I haven't yet set up my wideband so I don't know how far off the fueling is but I know it's rich from the smell and the plugs being black when I pull them. Also, it idles better as I reduce the injector time slightly.

I have 550cc injectors on it, with the stocks being 370cc's, the base map would be giving it too much fuel because 2ms on a 550cc injector is obviously going to put in more fuel than 2ms on a 370cc injector. 370/550 = .67 so if I just multiply every value of the injector time table by .67, shouldn't that then run the car the same as the base map if I had 370cc injectors?

Am I incorrect in assuming that it should work linearly like that? Being that the flow rate is exactly that, a rate in terms of per minute, I should just be able to multiply the whole table by the ratio of the two injectors, .67, correct?

Example: If 2ms of injector open time with 370cc injectors gives me a 14.7 AFR then wouldn't a 1.34ms (2ms x .67) of injector open time with a 550cc also produce a 14.7 AFR?

Thanks everyone.

Here is something that may be of help to you, it shows the computer screens of the different settings they did to maintain a 14.7 AFR and basically explains engines, ecus, and fuel mapping, they made a custom map so it is really helpful to look through it. It's 15 pages long, but I quickly glanced at it to see if i had anything of usefulness.

It's from Rutgers university it seems, so it had to be important enough.

Thanks, there was some nice information in there but I didn't see anything pertaining to the linearity of flow rates to open time of injectors.

I think I'm gonna wire the wideband up and try it.
