so some of you know i just replaced numbers 1 and 8 on my Q..when i was screwing 8 in the metal cover to the injector cracked and today i look and see a little gas leaking. i have the fuel rail from a 93 and just wondering if those screw covers are the same...other then that to those who were helping me..Q is running amazing again with the 2 new injectors :yesnod

ok well i guess i found out they dont fit...so now that mine is F**ked what is this part called and anyone know where i can get it..i cant find anything

I'm comparing the two and it looks like the only difference functionally is the thickness of the rubber spacer that holds the injector down. The 94 cap has a thicker spacer so the 92 cap you've substituted may not be holding as tightly as it should. Send me an email and I'll set you up with the correct one.

(Rant) If my daughter hadn't borrowed my camera this weekend because she couldn't find hers in her mess of a room I would have posted a picture comparing the two.

I think the top of the injector is a different shape, so the correct one is needed... IOS accidentially sent me one of the old style when I did my phase 2 swap and it was way off.

Tony, I wouldn't run the car with it this way... if the top o-ring is leaking, it's very likely that the bottom one is well. You don't want to risk hydrolocking.

Look what I found on my laptop. This topic must have come up before. Is the 94 cap the one where most of the rubber spacer is visible?

you got it the one on the right is the exact one...right now im not running it i have the cap off and car parked..last night i drove to the casinos in detroit and back about 80 miles roundtrip and apparently i had a slow leak from the crack.. :( i was so looking forward to tearing around again at full strength..what a tease :)
