I am trying to get my 92 S13 w a Redtop SR to run, hence the name. Finally got injectors from a fellow NICO member, get new O-rings from Nissan (92 Sentra), lube the O-rings and put them in the rail. I crank it it runs for like 2 sec, and LOCKS!!! Pull the plugs and theyre soaked, and there's puddles of gas in ALL 4 cylinders?! So I do a noid light test, and theyre pulsing. Somehow fuel is getting past the injectors and POURING into my cylinders. I can not have my freshly rebuilt SR lock up again. I am not rebuilding that thing again! Could it be in the rail? FPR? I am just so fvcking pissed right now because I was told these injectors were good! Hopefully they are and it's something else. Now I gotta go change the damn brand new oil in there.

When you mean lock up, what do you speak of?

Sure it's not an ECU or wireing issue?

What injectors did you get?

What is your ECU programed for

What's your timing set at?

Find out what your fuel pressure is at. Did you install the injectors right? As in, not "walking" them into the fuel rail, you're suppose to "pop" them into place when installing them. I'd also check your wiring. I had an issue like this, ended up being my ECU though, I shorted out the no. 2 injector signal on the ECU so it was flooding it.

What did you use for lube? dielectric grease? What was it like when you put the injectors back in? Was it tough or too easy? Im thinking, short of useless injectors, its got to be the o-rings. Either they're too small or not sealing somehow.

whats your fuel pressure?

Ok here's the thing, I can't even get it to run before it floods. I am going to check the fuel pressure here in a minute. By lock up I mean hydrolock, or as in an engine cant compress a liquid, so it locks. Wiring specialties did my harness, and I am using 370cc injectors, and a stock ECU. I used white lithium grease as my lubricant. Still plugging on it so I will update as I make progress, or a lack of.

your fuel system should pressurize with the key on, doesnt need to be running. If all 4 cyl are filling up I doubt all 4 injectors are stuck open.

Try this for a test, unplug your fuel injectors and turn on the key and let the fuel system pressurize. This would see if the o-rings can hold the pressure.

Be careful! If you try to crank it while hydrolocked you could bend a rod!

If you're sure it's nothign else but the injectors, why not unbolt the rail, and physically see if they are spraying/leaking

make sure you light up a cig or a flamethrower or two while you're doing it, then you'll be able to tell for sure if they're working

Fuel is getting past from the O Rings not seating properly. Check the plastic collar that the O Ring seats on. I bought used injectors once before and the collar was bent on one making the O ring blow out repeatidly and leak gas horribly bad in the cylinder.

Had this happen to a car recently. It turned out to be a corroded temp sensor and plug. We replaced the sensor and plug and the car ran.

I can't get it to run long enough to test anything though. I've keyed it on with the rail off, and no leaks. I've cranked it with the rail loose, and they all pulsed fuel. Does anyone have any pics of the CAS with the cover off at #1 TDC? My engine is in time mechanically, it seems that there is a bad signal to or from the ECU. Doing more tests, will update.

Welp I'm done. It locked up twice again and now it won't spin with the plugs out and coolant is dripping out of the back of the head down the transmission. I will be parting this powertrain out soon. WTF?! I have spent a year getting this thing together and it ****s on itself in three days. Never even ran!!! f***!!!!!!

Excuse my previous post, I was pissed! I am taking the motor back out maybe this weekend and finding out WTF happened here. I've had people say anything from a cracked head, warped block, bad head gasket, to even maybe a bad IIAC. But somehow coolant was getting into all 4 cylinders. I so don't want to rebuild this thing again........

Yea that sucks, apparently the shop you sent it too didn't check the head. Could be warped.

do you have to use lube when installing injectors because i didnt. i just popped them in and it made the pop sound when they went in. so you think i could be leaking around the injectors. and that is why i am flooding

I did rebuild it myself, and the engine turned over smooth, but I screwed it somewhere else and can't figure it out. I have always been told to lube the injector o rings at work, so it is possible, but if they popped in I dunno
