ok..i have searched and really found no information. i hope i am not overlooking a thread somewhere. does anyone know injector interchangeability with the ka24de? like will the z32 turbo work in the ka24de with no modification? i want to find some that will drop in and go or i'll buy some aftermarket ones if i have to. oh and is there a thread or link to injector sizes for nissans? (or whatever fits)...thanks for any info

There are lots of threads on this. I would tell you more, but I really don't know a whole lot. The info is mostly archived.

ok..if i am correct from my searches, all i have found is that some z32 and q45 370cc's fit. the only thing is that there is a specific year range (not sure what years exactly) and they have to be light purple (z32) or a light brown (q45)...i would assume the j30 would be the same. i'm really not sure about the q45 thing..i would have to see one and compare..any info out there that can confirm any of this?

with side fed injectors..you are really limited with interchange-ability..there is a fix thou...top feed convertion..you can get a bolt in rail ebay style for 70ish bucks..and that will open up all types of doors for you...the rail uses denso injector types..these are most common top fed for imports..i use 315cc from a hatchi in my ka and you can even use evo injectors...now you do have to solder new plugs on..but that no biggie if you get yours like i do from the junk yard for next to nothing...many imports will cross with this rail...rx7's do..corrola's..mitsu's..and even some euro brand cars will cross in some instances..hope this helps and good luck

top feed? well to be honest i really dont need real big injectors. probably something around 370's-440's...its an N/A engine and i was counting on finding some junkyard replacements. now that you know a bit about what i am shooting for, is top feed still the better of the choices?

you know that it won't be totally drop in and go though right? you will have to tune for the new injectors or buy a tune.

BTW: SR injectors will fit too and I believe there are others that will work.

here's a oem parts compatibility thread that covers injectors for one:http://zilvia.net/f/tech-talk/....html

What are you trying to do exactly? If your just trying to replace one of yours then any KA motor will do. If you want bigger then 300zx turbo and 95-97 q45 will fit as well. These are 370cc, but if you use those, you will have to get a tune otherwise your car will be running really rich.

I have a set of 97 q45 injectors I'm going to use. Just make sure when you install injectors, you need new orings and you have to lube up the orings too when you put them in

thanks for the info. as for what i am tryin to do is just make a little more power than stock and i know i will need a tune (megasquirt ya) but not tryin to break records. really, i'd like to find a complete ca18 swap but as for now my funds are limited and just want to make the ka24 a little more responsive and fun to drive. thats why i was lookin for something i could use out of a junkyard so i can try to keep cost down and still try to save for the swap. i might change my mind (like i have 100 times now haha) because nissan just makes some really good engines that respond well to upgrades. for now i do know i want to keep the weight down so no RB/1JZ/2JZ or anything real heavy. thats why i feel the CA18 is probably gonna be the one i chose when the time comes...well i think my rant is done now so thanks again.
