90 TT old style injentors. I had an injector go bad a few weeks back I replaced it, no problems. Another went bad two weeks ago. I decided to replace all of the restr because they looked like junk anyway and I need it to make it to Cali and then the UK I used remans (I know, but I plan on upgrading in the next year and they were really cheap)

So then the number 3 injector started leaking out the top, really bad leak. I pulled it and the upper o-ring got pinched, replaced it then the number 5 started leaking not as bad, pulled it and the o-ring was much worse. Replaced it last night.

Now I smell fuel again. WTF! What am I doing wrong? Please help I need to drive across three states next week.

Have you tightened up the fuel line clamps this year?

Yeah, one line was cracked, but I replaced it and the other short sections. The last leak was for sure from the injector. It was a large visible quantity. I am going to pull the plenum tonight and check them, I'll double check all of the lines while I'm in there. I also bought some new stainless steel allen screws to hold the caps on. I found a video on how to install them and may not have pushed them in far enough before I tightened the caps... Just hope I have enough good o-rings left to make it work.

So ok, I'm new at this. But for anyone else who hasn't installed injectors before, oil them up or you will destroy your o-rings. That was my problem, when the injectors went in the o-rings were sticking to the wall of the fuel rail and rolling up and getting pinched by the injector body, causing small then massive leaks, low fuel pressure, and knock. At least I did this all now withe cheap injectors and not latter when I upgrade to more expensive ones.
