Hey yall, so I'm currently in the process of replacing all 6 injectors on my 91' TT. I went ahead and ordered these replacement injector connector harness kit.. http://www.courtesyparts.com/harness-kit-p-296310.html

I have looked in the online service manual at the schematics of the wire harness for the injectors as well as the harness itself in the engine bay to see if I could find a location where to splice the new harness into.. as you can see in the photo, or if you've purchased this before, there is 3 new connectors spliced into 2 crimped clip like ends which seems to me should connect somewhere in the harness... I don't see anywhere where I can splice in the 2 +/- wires into.. Unless I'm missing something than here's my next plan...

Also I've searched every where and could not find a damn guide on this.. In Dallas DamonZ, TT's.net guide for injector replacement he just mentions you may want to pick up a new injector harness but doesn't explain how to hook it up.. anyway my next plan was to just cut the new harness leaving say 6" of wire and cut the old off, and splice them in and solder ect ect... but I'm not to familiar with electrical to begin with so I'm a little skeptical in doing that for this reason as well as the fact that on the old connectors there's a smaller gauge and and a larger gauge wire (+/-) and same on the new harness BUT there on opposite sides... If I were to hook up the new harness I would have to put the large gauge wire to the smaller gauge beings they are opposite.

Cutting and soldering 12 wires is no big deal, but beings it's the injectors we're talking about I really, really do not want to have to pull everything back off again due to a faulty solder job or whatever.. If anyone has any advice in reference to weather or not it's a good idea to connect a larger gauge wire to smaller by splicing the wires and soldering.. If there is a better way, or something I missed when looking threw the engines harness to find a spot to hook up the clips that came with the new harness, maybe I have the wrong harness? Seems to me that the wires should be the same on the new harness as the existing but they aren't :/ Thanks in advance for any help!

Okay cool so each set eventually ends up being tied into just 2 wires (2 for each set)? Also I have been taking back the harness I've gotten far enough back to about as long as the replacement wires are. Could you tell me about how far back it would be, like close to the firewall cuz the new harness is only so long ya kno O.o Thanks for takin the time to reply bro. only thing holdin me back from puttin everything back on ; )
