I read online that you shouldnt use so called cleaners in your car, because they clean up varnish in the engine, but the injector coil also is sealed n varnish causing them to fail.Any thoughts?

The gossip here on the forum is that BG changed the formula for their injector system cleaner and it's not as effective as in the past. A certain member, Q45T*ch, has advocated using two 15oz. bottles of Redline SI-1 Fuel System Cleaner in a full tank of gas or one bottle in a 1/2 tank of gas. Q45T*ch is not as keen on Chevron's Techron Fuel Injector Cleaner but agrees if you can't get BG44K or Redline it will do (in the same concentration as Redline SI-1).

When I first bought this Q the CEL came on with an injector code in the first few days of ownership. One bottle of Redline cleaned out whatever was the problem and the engine has been running smooth since. I have a feeling the PO may have been using regular fuel. I always use Chevron 91 octane, 6% ethanol, and every 3 months do the 1/2 tank treatment with Redline. It's $7 a bottle at Pep Boys or Napa. I can only speak for myself but I've had no injector issues with this Q and they all ohm within range. Try it, you'll like it.

I've been a long-time user of BG44K but switched to Redline SI-1 when I learned about the change in formulation last year. I only use Tier 1 gas, normally Shell Premium.

Per new BG44K MSDS, it has 40-70% Petroleum Distillates and 10-30% Mineral Spirits while Redline SI-1 has 30-50% PEA (Polyetheramine - detergent needed clean fuel system) and 5-20% Alipathic Naptha. Techron also has PEA but at reduced concentration.
