In the diagnostic mode of my 2006 M35 Sport, there is an option labeled "Initiate SRAM". Does anybody know what that does if selected....not that I selected it....well....maybe I did. There doesn't seem to be anything awry going on afterwards.

Thanks

Welcome to NICO!

I have to admit that I have no idea what this is. Even a search through much of the Service Manuals did not show anything.

Can you elaborate on how you got this option? What specific mechanism (details, please!) and key clicks and knob rotations, etc., did you use to see it?

Well, I can't recall the specific location within the diagnostic menu, but here is how I got to the diagnostic menu...

1) With Ignition ON or Started and Radio OFF, hold the "Settings" button and rotate the audio knob about 30 clicks or so.

2) You will then be in the "diagnostics" mode....and it's easy to know when you're there.

3) You can get into the detailed diagnostics mode by (once in the regular diagnostics mode) hold the "settings" button and rotate the audio volume know again for 30 or so clicks.

4) You will then see "(detailed)" next to the "controls and adjustments" menu item.

I came across the "Initiate SRAM" sub-menu items in one of the options. I can give more details later if needed, but am not around by M35 at the moment.
