Not sure which forum to go with here, so I chose Gaming. Anyone else keep up with Initial D anime or manga? This story is fantastic!

Here's a link to the best forum running for it, this is the torrent section where you can access the episodes, subtitled

If you like street racing, and anime, you can't go wrong with this one!

I got in trouble for reading Initial D during a final test in 10th grade lol. I also started watching the shows on Netflix a few months ago. I got through a season or 2 but one of the characters was so annoying, and it was kinda slow, that I never finished watching it.

It's honestly what got me into cars way back in 2002. I remember looking for drift cars from the anime and 240sx.org popped up and from that NICO, bought a terrible 85' Corolla for way more than it was probably worth, and proceeded to hoon around abandoned parking lots. The character designs are f*** terrible but that isn't what you watch it for though right? The races are bad-a** and contain at least a modicum of reality. I still have a mix-cd of Initial-D driving music in my car. Haven't kept up with the manga.
Have you tried Wangan Midnight? Similar premise but with a 280z and highway racing.

Ill check out Wangan Midnight. I've seen all there is to see so far on Initial D. Fifth Stage is out now, up to ep 4. Project D is starting to tackle the Kanagawa area. Takumi has a new love interest. Good times. So far its turning out to be pretty good. I also got into cars more because of this show, and I still have my Initial D tracks, even have them loaded into Spotify! :D

I also just started reading the manga. So far pretty much the same as the show but I'm sure it deviates along the way to some degree.

5th stage is just all the races smashed together in 2 hours I believe. And the manga goes far beyond where the anime leaves off.
Edit. mother f***, it's a whole new season!

Started reading the Wangan Midnight manga, and I have 26 episodes of the anime downloaded. Not as good as Initial D, but its not bad.
