Simply put, Initial D is a manga/anime about drifting.

BTW, as far as anime goes when you have a choice ALWAYS ALWAYS get the subtitled version not the English dubbed version. There can be a much bigger difference in dialog than you think. Also, IMHO, The Initial D Manga is much better. The anime skips out on a few things here and there and the manga has more technical details and is funnier. Cheaper too....

I have up to the 8th dvd of it, it has the subtitled and the english version. I could probably try and rip them, not entirely sure how but I'm sure I could look it up, I'd have to wait till I get back to my computer at the dorm though, which won't be till monday. I'd definitly get the manga if it had the music =)

The 8th dvd is the one with KT and his fd race against Zach and his gtr, it sets up the battle for when Tach Races Ryo or whatever his name is, the dude with the white FC.

The US Initial D DVD's are a ripoff. Go on Ebay and get the HK region-free subtitled version. You can get the everything but 4th Stage (1st Stage, 2nd Stage, 3rd Stage, Battle Stage, and Extra Stage) for less than $100.

I actually did buy all the US version Tokyopop Manga though, I have to say that I sort of perfer the series in book form.

manga is like a comic book basically. The tokyopop dubbed ones suck, get subtitled or don't bother watching it.
