I played it when I was in Tokyo. It's an incredibly addictive game. The physics take some getting used to and timing the drifts takes awhile, but once you figure things out, it's one of those games that you'd spend $8000 in quarters on...so might as well buy the machine hehe. The graphics are amazing and the the soundtrack is straight from the tv series.

I have a friend who's addicted to that game. I tried it a couple times... it was really fun, but I wasn't really used to the physics since I spent winter break finishing off arcade mode and some professional league in gt3. :P My friend is actually getting a job at the arcade just so he can play the game for free. It's $1 a pop so when he plays a couple time a day it really makes it worth it :)

It probably won't be seen in the US for PS2. It's hard enough trying to find the DVDs..which can usually only be found on Ebay or through specialty stores. Your best bet would be to buy the japanese version and a mod chip for the ps2 and play it that way.

God i miss arcades... Vermont has none. I went to Tokyo a couple years ago and went to the Sega arcade. Freakin 5 stories of arcade goodness. I came close to seizure...5 times. At a different arcade i got to play this driving sim that had an actual car body. It was funny cause when i thought i was done i got out of the car and the screen started going nuts and the lady got all mad cause i wasnt supposed to open the door while it was still moving... ah good times.

you can get it for your ps or maybe ps2 I cant remember, but you need a mod chip done so you can play backups and/or games from other countries.. I've seen them for sale on ebay.

I had a chance to play Ver.2 when I was in Hong Kong last month. Excellent games. One high point of the ver.2 is the addition of rain weather. Keke I have a fully upgraded FD3S and Suzuki Cuppuccino.

The only down side on the magnetic memory card is that you have a 50 save limit. After that you have to either purchase another card and trasfer the data to that new card or you lose ur current data.

drifting is tough in GT3... at least long, showy drifting is... It's odd that I actually drift best in the stock NSX in arcade.*shrug*

Since you dont know how to drift in GT3, which I didnt at one point, I found this, so i guess this could help anybody out. Gives you the setup on drifting in the game.

Drifting FAQ

My friend and I tried using that guide, and found that most of the cars were just absurdly hard to use. I mean I would be going 20 and spin out when i tapped a turn button... Simulation tires definately helped, but I couldn't control the vehicles, it always felt like driving on ice... I am 70% through the game using my current driving methods, so I think I'm doing ok. If only I had the time or energy to do the endurance races. Professional ones are long enough! 10-15 laps... ugh...
