I got a problem I would like to share with you kind folks...this is kind of hard to explain.

1992 240SX 5-Speed w/stock KA24DE

Well, basically my car has been having trouble starting up when I turn the key. When i attemt to start the car it fires up no problem(usually) but has trouble idleling the first few seconds. I watch the tach go from 1200ish when if first fires up, then it dips down to 500, 300, and even stalls out completely sometimes. It seems like after the engine gets over this first few seconds of struggle and runs normally after that as I drive it arould.

Also, after being driven for a while the car just completely doesnt start for about 10 minutes, the starter cranks but it just does not start up. When it does however startup after this period of not starting, a plume of white(i believe) smoke comes out of the exhaust. I believe this is related to the problem in the previous paragraph. Any Ideas what could be the problem?

Few things to check:1 - EGR valve sticking.2 - TPS harness connector pins oxidized.3 - IACV unit dirty.4 - possible vacuum leak in the intake system.
