As we all know, I haven't been exactly quiet with my lack of enthusiasm over the Q70's lack of improvements, styling, etc. I even went so far as to state that I will not buy another Infiniti sedan unless Infiniti does a complete overhaul and adds features everyone else already has.
That said, I was shocked today at my dealer. My car was in for an oil / filter change and installation of my new Osram CBI Hyper cool blue headlamps. I wandered about the show room and was absolutely staggered by the new Q60 Red S 400.
I took some pics with my phone - dunno why they came out with a tint - my HTC usually does a brilliant job, but not today.

Suffice to say that I have never been a 'coupe' person. I have always owned sedans or SUVs and currently have both. However, I was completely taken by this coupe. Liquid Platinum with dark CF accents and blood red customized upholstery. Even bright silver CF trim where one usually finds brushed aluminum or wood grain. Sheer, unadulterated, dirty, messy, exhilarating sex on wheels this is ! With most coupes, the rear seats are basically for show only, but my ape size, 6'3" 220 pound frame fit nicely, although I probably wouldn't want to sit back there for a long road trip.

Infiniti has done it properly. The body with its curves, bends, and creases cannot possibly be mistaken for any other car. They truly made a unique design. It appears to be going 150mph whilst standing still. In fact, they got it so right that if my disposable income allowed it (unfortunately it doesn't) I would have gladly written a check and driven it home on the spot. Here are a few pics:

MPG is rated at 20/27 which is not bad for this combo of speed and luxury. However, the price is a bit steep:

When the time comes for me to move on from my current Infiniti, I will definitely look for an off lease Q60 red-S!

I bought my used 14 from an Infiniti dealer in September. There was a 60 in the showroom. Agreed with all of the above. I looked at the price and didn't dare sit in it. I knew I'd fall in love with it if I did.

Yes, I think the car is very sexy with horsepower to boot.

Did you notice that when you open and close the door the window automatically goes down then up slightly?

Also there is an option to have the emblem in the grill illuminate...(I actually saw this on a MB the other night)

I love it. It's a beautiful car and the q50 version is running mid 12's with just a cat back. I could of went to the local official release in my area at a car museum but couldn't get the time off didn't have enough notice.

Yes I noticed the window moving when I opened the doors. I reckon that since there is no frame around the window, it allows the glass to seat more firmly into the roof line when closed so it needs to retract when opening the door. The doors have 'stops' when opened at various points to prevent them from just sliding all the way open if you take your hand away. Also, no need to mash the button on the door handle to unlock. When you place your fingers behind the handle, it unlocks. Also loved the remote start built into to key fob.

Its normal for newer cars without door frame for the window to come down slightly and then go up when shut to seal.

My G35 did that. The S13, not so much.
