My 1994 j30t experienced a loss of power (down about 20% I estimate) and started missing at low rpm in about a 2 day period. All testing indicated normal operation on ODB computer no fault found etc...Any suggestions as to common cause of a quick onset problem such as this...

Perhaps this should be moved to Infiniti Online Mechanic.

I second Jesda moving this post over to the Infiniti Online mechanics section.

As for the problem, it could be an intermittent misfire of a sparkplug, transmission sensor or intermittent issues with the ignition coil. Only way to find out for sure is (a.) drive around with a scan tool untill it trips. (b.) keep driving around untill something breaks.

Yea Infiniti is spelled with an "I" and not a "Y." Sorry, a little pet-peeve of mine.

I'll get this moved.
