info on turbo

Alright, no I am not asking what is the best turbo, or what you are using, etc. I have searched here, and can't really find any info for what I am looking for.

Anyone know where I can go to get information on turbos, how they work, and how to tell the difference between brands and codes? (I know the basics, uses exhaust gas to spool up, etc....Just more in depth stuff.) I like to know everything about something before I decide to go with it.
