Car: CARS!!!

Post

Hey what's up people?? I was wondering if anyone with an experience in audio in their car could answer my question. I just recently bought 2 10" Pyramid 1000 watt subwoofers off of ebay. THe reason for doing so was because they were relatively cheap...89.95 for both. I was dumb and hadn't checked out pryamid subwoofers really before i bought them. I was wondering if anyone knew if these subwoofers were even worth having. I mean now that I am reading different stuff i hear that pyramid sucks...would i be better off just to sell the subwoofers and buy new ones...or is pyramid a decent brand and you think ill be find with them...thanks

I think the newer stuff might be better.

don't take my word for it, I kinda hate car audio (yet I love my radio, guess so long as it plays and sounds good...confused? yeah me too.)

lets put it this way, how good do you want your stereo to sound?Do you actually care for some quality? If not, these subs are for you,

I know people that are happy with some 1 - 8” no name sub.And other must have 3 - 12” JL’s, its all personal preference.

Back to the subs you bought, you got raped, do your research man, now please return them, you can get some 10” pioneers premier for that price. examplehttp://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...&rd=1

yeah dude you got totalled owned, I hope you didn't pay shipping on top of that. pyramid is fine for bumping the ICE ICE BABYYYbut for me I like a little something better. pioneer is a very good deal for the money. Rockford Fosgate also has some cheaper subs that are pretty good.JL audio used to make the W0 series, which were cheap but awesome.

Sorry to hear you paid that for Pyramid's.

If you can't get out of the "deal", they should be "ok" for use, but not anything you want to run hard or show off . If you can return them or something do a little research in NICO's own Car Audio Forum.

Hey everyone's welcome to the Car Audio Forum, how many n NICO didn't even know it exists?

pyramid suxors. terrible sound quality, transient response and just plain old suck. that being said, if you aren't going to let anyone see them, and put them in a bandpass box.. they might be O.K. for someone who knows/cares little about audio stuff.

Cerwin Vega made some of the best speakers ever made. I hope you aren't disrespecting them.
