I heard that there is some kind of resistor chip that i can take out that will increase my horsepower slightly and it will shift earlier or what not, but i was wondering if anyone knows where this chip is located at, thanks

there is a dropping resistor that will increase line pressure and make the trans shift harder if its unplugged. it is located by the airbox on a s13 and says "jecs" on it. at full throttle you already have high pressure.

I thought about doing this, but after reading some posts on it I decided not to. If you unplug it I hear your trans slams into gear and causes a ton of wear. Might be cool for a second, but it will get old.
