Infinity Reference 6002si's good speakers?

I used searched for good 6.5 speakers and came back that the Infinity Reference line is pretty decent. All the post's I saw referred to the components. I don't particularly want components because I'm trying to keep it simple & cheap. These have textile dome tweeters, which I'm assuming are the silk tweeters everyone recommends.

I want to keep the cost down because I need a new head unit & I'll prolly put some subs in addition to 2 pairs of 6.5's.

Are the 6002si's decent 6.5's?

In doing the same thing. I wouldnt do the 6002si though, (shallow mount) Id do the standard 6002i, they will fit in the front, and supposedly in the back. I have used these speakers in a number of cars, and they have really smooth highs due to the textile tweets. I will be using these in the front for my upper mids and highs, and alpine sps-170a in the back for my lower mids and rear fill. Ive used infinity for years..... LOVE THEM!!!

Thanks for the advice man. Just wondering, what's the diff between the shallow mounts & normal ones, besides the depth? Any reason to go with the normal depths?

I'll keep the Alpines in mind for the rear. Thanks

Shallow mounts i WILL NOT believe have the same bass response since there is less woofer travel, and the BIG difference is that the 6002si does not have an angled and rotating tweeter to aim the sweet stop of the highs. THe 6002i does. Hope this helps.
