HI Everyone: This forum is great. I,ve just purchased a 1997 q45t 60,000 miles one owner vehicle from a Lexus dealership in Houston. Well maintained and garage kept. Immaculate inside and out except for the drivers side headlight assembly, so I figured I,d have it replaced and will replace both. Any ideas on where I can get the two without buying from the dealer. Aftermarket parts houses. I have enjoyed reading a lot of posts. Need help, I'll post some pics later, enjoying the ride. Thanks, KC in Texas.

Used ones will inevitable be scarred from road dust during traveling. If you want to polish the covers then armorthem, tehy will be OK.

Many have installed the later 1999+ model's HID low beam units.

HI and Thanks for the info. After talking to a tech, he recommended that if I did,nt want to spend any money for new ones to take out the same ones and use a hair drier on warm and dry out the condensation and reseal around the beam. I saw where it was slightly separated and applied some auto caulking, that has seemed to have done the trick. If anyone else has the same problem with condensation in the houseing, this is the trick and will save $$$$$$$ big Bucks. I really enjoy this site. Motor with a smile you ALL?

Fixing cracks in the housing is OK (I use epoxy), but there is meant to be a drain hole in the gottom of the lens. There is a TSB on this.
