I suspect it's heresy, but is there an digital alternative for the famous Infinity dash analog clock?

It's heresy.

What digtal display would look good in a round opeining? It would have to be an analog display, so why change?

Its worse than herecy. The clock is the coolest thing about the whole car.

Yes its fast.

Yes it handles.

But the clock is cool.

I think the clock is cool in the 90-92 Q45s, but ever since they added the gold trim in 93 the clock design has been going downhill.

The original design was simple and elegant. The newer designs are too gaudy, and the most prominent feature is the adjustment knob (which is oddly placed).

The clock looks like it was forced into the G35 dash design at the last minute.

I think both the 97 and 98 Q45 don't have an analog clock, but it returned for 99.

I love the trademark Infiniti analog clock! I would never want to make a digital. Then it would look like every other car out there. The analog is much more elegant IMO.

Heh. I guess it's what you're used to. When I see the clock in the 90-92 cars, I think "that sure looks boring" compared to the 93-96 cars. :)

Search around and look at the clock in some of the Maseratis. Also cool.

Yeah I agree that the clock in my car is great, but it has not worked in 3 months. I hate to arrive late you know. I have checked around, and there is no fuse for it, there is no loos wire. I was told my a tech in Tx Grubbs infiniti that the clock sometimes can just go out. Now as I look at this stark cold circular piece in my dashboard, I can't help but wonder, was this all foreshadowing. The clock was cold and austere, as was the car, but the sales dwindled compared to other luxos of that time period there for the Q-ship fell into obscurity and almost ceased to exist in some circles, much like my clock:(
