I did a search in the recent and archived postings, but did not find anything on CD players not ejecting on an Infinity 2001 QX4. Is there a way to fix this problem as Infinity will only replace it and not repair it!

my 2001 QX4 just did the same thing. It flashes 'ERROR' and all my CD's are stuck inside. I'd also like to remove them if anyone knows how...Nitro-Nicky

The brand is INFINITI no Y on the end!

As with many low cost consumer grade electrpnics it is often much cheaper to replace than to repair. Especially something 8-10 years old.

Buy A FEW off ebay and swap them out as they fail.

We have a local shop in ATL where we send owners with Audio problems. As I remember it is $200 to examine and attempt repairs [parts are extra] but no promises as to success.

You might check around your largest or capital city for such a place.

Take the fuse out and recycle it with an empty CD magazine if that is what it employs. If in dash,

Yep, it's the in-dash unit, and stocking up on ebay extras is a pretty darn good idea. I don't listen to a heck of a lot of music, but when I couldn't get my favorites out the past couple months, it was starting to turn into a pain in the rear issue. Big thanks!
