so currently planning on a vk swap for my buddy' z, vk56de seems pretty straight forward, but i was curious if anyone had any experience with the VK50VE out of an FX50... apparently FX50 uses same trans for VQ and VK... does this mean that this essentially a bolt in swap to CD009? thus negating need for collins adapter and custom flywheel? seems like a solid option for n/a vk build considering 10:5:1 compression from factory... if the engines can be had for a decent price it seems like this may make v8 swaps even easier for these cars.... someone chime in if I'm way off base here... just curious if it's ever been done or if any nissan techs can confirm whether or not the parts will fit... also if the bolt pattern for the bellhousing is different, is this a different motor entirely? does anyone have stock external dimensions? less displacement COULD mean a smaller block itssel... lots to think about...
