Yahoo has no credit in my book. I would not take a word from Yahoo. Half of those cars having major issues.

This is funny. I'm one of the 20555 people that responded to their survey. I've got a follow up survey in my inbox right now. They don't give you a dollar like Powers does, they enter you in a drawing for 10,000 bucks. I hadn't planned on responding but I think I need to boost Infiniti's position in the results.

They really ask stupid questions that have nothing to do with the car. Questions that appear more directed towards demographics of the car owner.

Here is the email if anyone gives a crap...

Thank you, for taking time to complete and return the questionnaire we recently sent to you about your satisfaction and experience with your new vehicle. Because automotive manufacturers are particularly interested in your opinions, we request that you be part of a selected group of individuals who will participate in a follow-up study. We would appreciate it if you would take a few moments to complete this final survey via the internet.

Upon completion of the online survey, your name will be entered into our sweepstakes a second time. That means you will have a greater chance to win one of several cash prizes:First Prize (1) $30,000Second Prize (1) $10,000Third Prize (10) $1,000 You also will have more influence upon how the charitable contribution is distributed. Just check the charity of your choice from those listed on the questionnaire. We will make a total contribution to all charities of $30,000. Please have the person who filled out the first questionnaire also fill out this one. All information you provide is for research purposes only and is strictly confidential.

If you need to stop taking the survey for a period of time, you can re-enter by clicking the link. However, you will re-enter at the same place you left off, not at the beginning. When you are ready to complete the survey, please follow this link:

People can't afford to put gas in their hummer.

Ergo they don't drive the hummer.

With the exception of Infiniti and Lexus, every other car on that list has a terrible reputation. I'm surprised Chrysler isn't in the top 3....and I thought I could trust everything printed on the Internet...

If you read the article it says:

"Strategic Vision calculated the index based on survey questions about reliability, vehicle characteristics, dealership experience, styling, interior and exterior design and their overall perception of initial quality"

So when they say quality, they don't mean reliability. Of course when you dish out $50k for an overpriced German car your perception of "initial quality" is going to be high, that's why you bought it.

Quality surveys can be manipulated easily. I have always trusted Consumer Reports, but there's always been a small nagging thought in the back of my brain that they might purposely skew the results based on contributions from manufacturers.

My decision to go with Lexus was a direct result of studying Consumer Reports.

I have read many different consumer reports and they all agree on one thing; Toyota and Honda are #1, Nissan and Subaru follow closely as #2 when it comes to reliability. They also said Honda has the same high reliability throughout its entire lineup, while Toyota-Lexus higher end models are better than cheap models.

The #1 worst car in America is Mercedes Benz, Kia and Chrysler, with Audi/VW not too far behind.

BMW was always "average" ... which is a bad thing considering how much it costs to fix.

With Strategic Vision, the key thing to realize is that they're measuring satisfaction. And when you measure satisfaction, expectations have a big impact. If people tend to have lower expectations for a brand, it tends to do better than you might expect in this survey.

Consumer Reports doesn't get paid off by the manufacturers. The problems with their methods are elsewhere. Because I thought all of these companies could be doing a much better job, and none of them wanted to change, I started conducting my own research a few years ago. NICO has been very helpful.
