A lot of people would be surprised at the quality of Ford these days, at least in terms of mechanical quality. The domestic market is still suffering from the thought that domestic cars are not high quality, where this is actually quite the contrary.

I'm surprised at the gap between Infiniti and Nissan. You'd think since its all made by Nissan they'd be closer.

Look again. Mercury (Ford) is 1 better than Honda. That's pretty impressive. Ford took honors as best US car.

Infiniti's are made in Japan. Nissan's are made (mostly) in the US. That could be part of it.

Also i would say that Nissan has SOME cheap cars. Quality and cheap can only coexist to a certain point.

I am really shocked about Mercedes-Benz... Maybe they are good for the first year and then after that

They suck for reliablity!

Mercury did good becasue it only makes like 4 cars all the new line of FOrds that are good...

F150's suck and so do all of their trucks IMHO.. I like toyota trucks

I would like to see this list after 10 years or 200k miles

I would put my money on lexus being the top spot and then toyota.. I know porsche isn't going to be close to the top nor any of the american or German companies.

Most cars that are bought for alot of money usually aren't used alot. People tend to not put many miles on them.
