Infiniti Scored Second From Bottom in Luxury Car Lines

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I purchased my first Audi 10 years back - at that time they were having mixed dealer ratings and were focused on improving them. A major issue at that time was the co-location of Audi and VW in many dealerships and potential Audi customers being given the "VW" treatment. Luxury buyers expect to be treated well, not given the hard sell, and typically expect a trusting relationship with their dealer. Audi separated a lot of the VW dealerships over the years but also spent a lot of time calling up to check on everything - every time I went to the dealer I'd get a phone call from Audi confirming that the visit went well, that my car was washed. Once I mentioned that my car wasn't washed when I picked it up on the phone survey and the dealership called me up to apologize. BMW did the same for my wife's car - they also called up to ask her to speak with a customer service engineer to discuss features in the car - how she liked them - and features she'd like to see in the future. Every time she stopped by the dealer they'd offer to wash her car - any item that was mentioned was always fixed without question. Great experience. Both Audi and BMW compensate the dealer based on customer satisfaction surveys - they give better prices to dealers with high satisfaction scores and it helps those dealers against their competitors.

I've not had much experience with Infiniti so far but this can be addressed if the company wants to. So far my Infiniti experience has been positive. Lia treated me very well - they've also upgraded their dealership recently - I'd swear the dealer shown on the "Infiniti current offers: page is Lia. Very nice atmosphere.

as a previous Lexus owner, and current Infiniti owner.I do have to admit Infiniti pre-sales experiences are not so good.i've dealed with 5 dealerships over the phone, and visited 3 dealership in person.the Infiniti sales person gave more of a run around then the lexus dealership. out of the 3 dealerships i've visted in person, one of them actually had no one even said Hi to us. we were there for about 20 mins walking around trying to find someone to help us, apperently everyone was way too busy to even say hi. so we just walked out.

course the post sale services are much better, I guess because they already got my money, might as well be nice to me?haha.

when I purchase the lexus, never had such a problem. spoke to 3 dealers over the phone, and visited 2 dealership. very easy, and stright forward.

Infiniti is certainly the "worse" Japanese luxury auto line in terms of overall quality, fit and finish and reliability. If Infiniti starts to correct the many carried over quality issues it's plagued with, they can work their way up to becoming second to Lexus in terms of overall quality/reliability.

I honestly think think Infiniti is a lot nicer than Acura, actually, the Murano is even a lot nicer than the Acura interiors. I feel Infiniti is doing a great job and they are certainly making leaps and bounds in the right direction. Go check out the photos of the 2011 QX56 in the Armada/QX56 Forum!!!! Amazing exterior and interior styling!

coming from a fully loaded acura, i have to say i don't think Acura does a better job with build than Infiniti. ~ and yea, i have to say even the Murano LE is nicer than alot of the cars acura have.

the only exception is the ZDX, but that's priced in a new category and isn't even out yet.

i have the service forms for my Acura, and last time i looked i'm pretty sure i had taken the car in almost 10 times within 6 months for things like: dropping headliner (it took them 4 tries to fix this), CV joint broke within 2 months, my Factory A-spec kit didnt match at all, navi screen froze, trim pieces came apart,

so i find it hard to believe that acura has a better build than infiniti

What is this based on? I had a great experience in purchasing an Infiniti, and everyone I know loves their cars.
