IMO, buyers of EX35 or Infiniti cares about what the vehicle says about them. It took a bit of air out of my initial enthusiasm, I'll try to regroup though.
Thanks Obsidian, I reconsider skipping the premium package. I listen mostly to NPR, so Bose 11 speaker system is a bit overkill. I would like to have the tilt/telescoping steering wheel though, plus dual climate control.
I like EX35 because I'm single, I want a car with plenty speed, prefer more compact vehicle, prefer more utility than a sedan, want rear seats but not concern about its spaciousness, a step up from my Honda, and good reliable vehicle that pass Consumer Report test.As for interior, I like Lexus the best (except IS), Audi's (except A3), and newer Infiniti comes in 3rd. EX35 fits the bill almost perfectly.
302@102psi, I understand what you mean. BMW is more branded as a man's car, and I see X3, X5 driven mostly by man more than female. The Toyota Matrix is a 5door hatchback well of course in different league compared to EX35, also mostly driven by male.
But if a guy drives a VW bug... guess what. Real story, a director from my previous company drove his wife's VW Beattle to work one day instead of his gas guzzling big SUV and loved its maneuverability. Since then he continued to drive the neon green VW to work everyday. Man everyone at work started joking and made sarcastic remarks (sure you can come up with ten) behind his back and spread like fire. I am sure he got a hard time from coworkers directly but I'm pretty sure he didn't know how badly widespread it was. It did sorta tainted his reputation as a direct side effect (now that I think of it, it was subconscious but I did think differently).
Maxnix, funny you should point out MX5 because I did consider the MX5but dropped it mostly for being impractical.
Now I'm wondering if I should buy Consumer Report EX35 bottom line report, already know there's $6900 dealer incentive + $500 customer rebate, Infiniti holdback is usually 1%. Sounds like I already close to the bottom line. Research continues... again thanks for all the responses.
