After drove 351 miles on I-75 with 3000 rpm most of the time on the weekend, I found my oil was 1/4 qt low from the H line and some dark deposits in the tail pipes, which wasn't there before. Concerning the oil burning, I did a bit of search and found this TSB. I'd like to share it with you, particularly for the folks having the issue. I will be keeping a close eye on the oil level.

This has been discussed many times. Search and read my and other posts on this issue.

I went thru the consumption oil test and flunked because after 3k miles I was 12mm low on the dipstick. Infiniti would not okay warranty engine replacement unless I was 18mm low. I would have qualified for a new engine had that TSB existed in 2006 when my vehicle was new as it used a quart of oil every 1k miles. I just returned from a round trip from NJ to Florida slightly over 2800 miles and was about a qt low. I change my oil every 3k miles and changed it prior to leaving and changed it again a few days ago upon my return.Monitor your oil level closely with a ruler in mm. If you feel your G meets the TSB specs for engine replacement return to the dealer and begin the test. You'll need to return every 1k miles while they measure your oil consumption. INHMO This is not something to get too worked up about. Engines that use a little oil adds little additional costs. Yes its a bit of a pain but everyone should be checking all fluids weekly anyway.

Good luck
