Infiniti rear

I was leaving work this morning and drove past and Infiniti FX*5 (didn't pay attention to the actual model) and saw something I liked. I never really looked at them before because they were way out of my price range. I was wondering if the black portion on the lift gate in this photo:

is part of the liftgate itself or if it is attached in some fashion and also if the body lines would allow for that portion to be installed on a Rogue. I won't be able to actually compare lines in person until later this weekend, maybe when I take my Rogue in for its first service but any input until then would be greatly appreciated.

I doubt it would work on the Rogue as the FX is signifigantly wider than the Rogue. I'd guess it's a good 4-5 inches wider than the Rogue's glass. The FX's glass is also almost exactly inverted compared to the Rogue...round at the top, sharp at the bottom. The lines aren't really compatible. I think it is just a trim piece though.

Thanks, I haven't really compared the two yet, kinda hard to do working ten hour graveyards then going home and taking care of all the stuff there but I will definitely look closer this weekend if I get the chance. I will keep an eye out for the stuff you mentioned.

Yeah, the shape of the tailgate glass on the Rogue is completely different. I don't think that trim would look as good as it does on the FX.

BTW, that black trim got deleted when the FX was redesigned for '09.
