Amazing to see MB so low on the list - even below Ford! That merger with Chrysler must have been a bad idea.

So Lexus is more dependable than Infiniti. Who would have thunk?

163 to 174 is quite unimportant. To have Infiniti in the top 2 says a lot about the company, ESPECIALLY considering its heightened sales with the releases of the G35 and the FX35/45. Most car companies move down with such a higher volume of sales. The fact that Infiniti moved up really says a lot about the quality of their work. Oh...and I have 250,000 miles on my Q, how's that for reliability and longevity?

ROFL a kiario!

As far as the Mercury Sable, I guess its a popular rental car but its sticker prices is higher than the Ford Taurus, since it comes with more features and luxury appointments.

Think of it as upscale junk.

a priceless moment if ever there was one on the Simpsons(and there are many) (Yokel) "Well, la-dee-da! Mr. Fancy Park Avenue manicure."(Homer) "I'm sorry I believe in the importance of good grooming." (haughtily turns up his nose as he enters the Feed and Grain store)

What about Buick being up there so high! I have been renting Buicks alot lately since I rent cars every week. They are much better feeling that the Chevy's, but they suck when it comes to performance. Anyone that comments that my 97' Q45t rides like a Buick needs to go drive a Century.

Remember these ratings are for cars built 3 years ago. The new G, Q, & FX are not in there. Still it speaks well for the long range quality of Infiniti.

The Buick Century, to me, is beautiful, with clean lines front to back and a tasteful nose and tail. The interior is quite tasteful too, and I could enjoy being in it for hours and hours.

But those damn drum brakes coupled with ponderous steering ruin the whole package. I dont mind the spongy suspension, as it does serve in making the ride smooth. My preferences is a supercharged Regal GS. Mmmtasty.

The Century also make a plush highway cruiser and a quiet in-town commuter.

I have the August 2003 issue of Automobile Magazine in front of me, and Bob Lutz actually wants to put Buick against Lexus.

Looks like, with dependability and initial quality, hes on the way there. Buick might not steal the show from Lexus, but it will pick up a few of the low-end upscale buyers looking at the Acura TL and Lexus ES300 who once shyed away from buying American.

The ultimate Buick is an Acura 3.5RL.
