Infiniti Radiant Interior Accent Lighting????

I need help understanding what this is and how it works. To my understanding it illuminates the floor at night while driving too? Is it a switch or how do you turn them on??

My M37 already came with illuminated kick plates and all the options I find online as far as that package goes also come with illuminated kick plates. A package that sells for around $500.

Any of you guys have that option and can tell me how it works? Also is there a way to get that without having to buy the kick plates?

I think it's just on as you drive...similar to that LED light that shines over the center console.

If you went aftermarket you could certainly wire them up with a switch in line and get fancy with multi-colored LEDs, etc.

$500+ for that kit is insane even with the illuminated sills included. Its not even plug-n-play, you have to tap into existing wires. A $50~ aftermarket kit would be the way to go, especially since you already have the illuminated door sills.
