I would take the switch out and clean it with some electrical contact cleaner first before buying new switch.
Not the same but an example...just recently my laptop power cord stopped charging my battery, i instantly thought buy a new power pack, then i remembered i had some electrical contact cleaner. Sprayed into the plug of the power pack, let it dry for a sec, plugged it in and battery is charging again. No problem since and cost me a few bucks for the can. Try to fix before replacing is my motto
