So I finally installed my rebuilt transmission and went to start it. When I turn on the car though, I hear nothing. I heard a light click the first couple times, but it does not make the noise anymore. I checked th battery voltage and it was fine at 12.xx volts and then checked the starter and it was at 12.5v. I had my brother turn on the car and checked the lower terminal. When my brother turned on the car it went up to 9v from 0. My brother said to try jumping the starter, but when we connected the wire to the starter nothing happened. Does anybody have an idea of what it can be? Is it possibly just the starter or could it be that I hooked something up wrong? All the connectors are on and in except for the O2 sensors since I want to turn it over before I install the exhaust and drop the car to the ground. Thanks, Andrew

alright I went through the gears and nothing happened when I tried to start it. Any other ideas? I double checked all the wiring and it all hooked up. I will check the connection I had to rewire this afternoon. Thanks, Andrew

Alright so I removed the electrical tape covering the connections and everything is hooked up right and shrink wrapped. So I took out the starter to see if I could get it to work out of the car. I hooked up the positive to the battery and hooked up a female connector to the negative and slid it on the black connection. When I took the negative wire and hit it again the negative battery terminal nothing happened. It make no noise at all. I am going to get a new starter tomorrow. Here is a picture showing how i hooked everything up, please let me know if i did it right: Thanks, Andrew
