Dears,
My Infiniti QX4 2000 model has fault code P0300 (multiple misfiring) and the mechanic replaced all plugs with new one and the fault still continued to resurface after clearing.
Recently, the car started firing on it's own up to like 6-7000r/min while on motion and almost hiting the car in the front. I had to quickly engage the Neutral gear and later turned off the engine and disconnected the battery head to reset the system and after 15 minutes it started working fine.
This has happened about 4 or 5 different times and one mechanic said it's ignition coil fault while another one said it's MAF. Please help, what part is actually faulty? I need your assistance on the TWO issues. Regards

Welcome to NICO.

Uncontrolled acceleration may be caused by the throttle body return spring being out of place. Check that first.

As for P0300, check for excessive dust and dirt buildup under the distributor cap; blow it out with compressed air if required.

Dears,
Thanks for your advice and contribution but this has not solved the problems. The P0300 code keeps showing and the error cleared several times but reoccured barely 10mins after clearance. Also the uncontrolled acceleration has not stopped, it happened just a day after the checks recommended. As I was on motion, I noticed that the car was more or less decelerating while i was accelerating and very sluggish on the road but within a minute or two, it just picked up and started accelerating uncontrollably. I had to quickly engage the Neutral gear and switched off the engine. I don't want this to damage my car engine. The mechanics are proferring different solutions but I believed this forum can assist. Please I need further advise.
Thank you.
