Infiniti Q70 Retrofit Heated Steering Retrofit

I have recently purchased a Infiniti Q70 2.2 diesel in the UK, as it is a relatively new brand in UK we have no forum and limited owner sites. The vehicle I have is the Premium spec but does not have heated steering wheel and memory seats controls. I was wondering how easy or difficult is it to retrofit heated steering wheel and memory controls for the seats as the actual steering wheel is the same as the heated ones internally and seats are the same but does not include the controls which is standard on Tech version. I can source the controls for each very easily but is it easy to programme the new controls to work and would I need any other parts other than the controls. Any reply much is greatly appreciated.

Welcome mate! Don't get all excited because I don't have the answer. However, if these additions are like most of the other modifications around here, your car likely has the same wiring harnesses so all you need do is buy the parts and hook them up. You can verify this by messing about under your seat to see if there are extra plugs not connected to anything. Then I reckon it's a matter of finding the wiring diagram to check which cord goes where?
You have a diesel and I am jealous! I have been whining about why there are so few diesels in the states - just about every fuel station has diesel, but very few luxury or sport sedans are available with a diesel option.

You should be able to get the wiring from the FSM (factory service manual) linked to in the FAQ thread (see my signature).

The 2.1 diesel engine and gearbox in Europe are sourced from Mercedes, slightly noisey and relatively slow gearbox but they are proven reliable units whereas the Bmw diesels suffer horrendous timing chain problems and Audi's were using the unreliable Multitronic CVT boxes and Lexus were hybrid only. Also as 90% of the competitors are ex-fleet/ business cars they are mainly base models with vinyl seats with hardly any luxury options whereas the Infiniti is pretty much well specced. There are very few tech models in UK and I would like to add mainly the heated steering module and some memory controls so that I can get memory seats and memory steering wheels. The vehicle has 6 speaker base audio system not sure if it was even offered in the US but the Bose 16 speaker retrofit will be too difficult so I am planning on maybe upgrading the speakers/tweeters with aftermarket but will check the wiring diagram to see what the options I may have.
