I have tried to search google for any common faults related to the Infiniti Q70 but so far no luck. Can anyone list some of the common faults that may affect the Q70 as I am based in europe and we do not have enough of a sample size for reliability data and common issues like we have for its rivals. I have been told it is one of the most reliable vehicles out there so not sure if there's anything that needs looking at in the future.

I see that you have the 4 cylinder 2.1 Diesel - we don't have that engine option in the states, so don't think many folks here can give you an idea if there are any issues with THAT engine.
I personally have not had many issues with the electronics, other than problems of my own making (make sure you disconnect the negative terminal of your battery if you are doing ANYTHING electrical, including something as benign as changing incandescent bulbs to LED - the control modules are super sensitive and you can ruin/blow them out pretty easily)
But some guys have had some issues with:
*Bluetooth music streaming and calling/phone functions
*Motors on side mirrors weakening/breaking
*Issues with steering wheel covers getting caught during movement

Also haven't heard of many other nagging/problematic mechanical (non-engine) related issues, eg. transmission, suspension, exhaust, etc.
Although fuel filler issue has created an extended warranty/recall (use search to see details of that issue)

I did notice connecting music streaming device sometimes takes 5 minutes when it should take seconds. Is there any kind of fix at the dealer for this also one of the power mirrors does seem to be slower than the other so I will get this looked at. In terms of the engine I have and gearbox I am getting info from the mercedes c and e class that share the same drivetrain which seems to be very reliable.

My M56 (predecessor to the Q70) has the same issue with one of the power mirrors opening and closing a tad slower than the other one. I haven't really worried about it since they close and open in the same position. There are TSB's that may address the issues you are having:

yea I thought all m37/q70 mirrors open and slightly different speeds. I asked this a while ago on here and the consensus was they all do that.

my most hated issue is the creaky armrest. I have no idea how to fix it.

Both of these are annoyances, not really faults.
  • Loud AC hum - there is a TSB that may help
  • Traction & ABS Illuminate on acceleration if brake pads are low even with fluid showing full when stopped
