Infiniti Q50 photos leaked

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Not a huge fan of the look, however I have never been a huge fan of the sedan anyways. Would like to see what the coupe will look like.

I dislike the wheels but the car itself looks great! I love the lines!

Hmm. Front end is Essence concept, rear is from the M. Side is...well, kinda looks like the current G sedan. Not sure it all holds together, but it is hard to tell from pictures. I think photos don't do the G37 sedan justice, and this Q50 (hate the name) may be more stunning "in the flesh" as well. The interior looks really fresh and inviting. Do we know anything more about powertrain, handling and fuel efficiency?

All Infiniti's will soon be called "Q" cars.

I don't like the Front-end of the Q50... it looks like the Sun melted it...

The rest of the Car, I do like...

"Overdone" is the word that comes to mind. The head lights look like eyes - that's a little bizarre. The car is not terribly unattractive, but the G was definitely attractive and Infiniti's bread and butter. The G was also a car that appealed to everyone, young and old, male and female. I don't see this car doing that.

Its a beautiful re-design of the G35/G37
I just dont see why they had to name it similar to the top-of-the line Q45 and make it a bigger # (50) too while they were at it? iS IT A 5.0L V8?
Come-on Infiniti... ehhhh what do I care... :gotme

I liked the previous design better. That commenter who says it is Sonata on juice is right.

Other than the paint color and that they both have red tail lights, I don't see ANY similarities...

HAHAAAA :werd:

Imagine all BMWs being renamed as 7-series regardless of size or history or model name success. :inout:

Drugs and prescription meds are a bad mix :nono:

I don't see that either?? Not even remotely close to my eyes... The IS looks much meaner and the hood/front fenders are opposites.

I hope they don't mess up M any time soon. That is a beautiful car.

Your worried about the M - I'm worried about the EX. The EX is my next purchase assuming Infiniti offers better choices for the customer like they did with the EX introduction models, and assuming they don't screw up the looks like they did the with the FX and now the G. The wheels alone will keep me away form the Q50 - ugliest wheels I have ever seen. I actually have little hope of owning an EX, I know what's coming. But no matter how much they mess with the G and the EX they could never reach the unreachable level of ugly of the Lexus IS.

I must admit I had reservations about the look of the Q50 when I saw the photos. I saw it in real life today at the Toronto Auto Show and it looks very sharp. It does not look at all bulbous as it does in the photos. I suspect the photos were taken from close-up using a wide angle lens which would exaggerate the perspective.

So there is hope for Infiniti not screwing up the successor to the EX.

I also saw the concept car which is rumoured to foreshadow the next Murano and I thought it was too extreme. I hope the production version is toned down considerably.

On another note, looking a number of crossovers at the show, I didn't find one that I liked better than my wife's Murano or my EX35. So I have no excuse for buying a new car!
