Starter failures are very rare on the early Q45s - but I won't rule that out completely. I would also be concerned about a timing chain guide failure, which could cause your engine to lock up.

When you say the fuse blew again, was that after repeated restart attempts - or just turn the switch and "pop"?

you obviously have a short somewhere.... I would take the car to a qualified technician familiar with nissan's in general and see what they say... Its possible your starter is bad, albiet like heath said its not terribly common on Q.

Welcome to NICO!!

Pull the starter relay to isolate on which side the short is located.

The relay described in your FSM..........................pretty difficult to trouble shoot without your own copy of FSM [wiring diagrams etc].

Every Q came stock with a mini FSM in trunk.

Download the 1994 FSM as a start many things are similar:http://www.phatg20.net/modules...id=62
