I found many mistakes in my 1993 Infiniti Q45 service manual. One that sticks out the most is the fact that on page BF-14 and BF-15 is supposed have a wiring diagram of the power windows. Well there is a wiring diagram but not of the power windows...instead its of the power door locks.

Also some of the wiring diagrams have pins that are indeed used but no color or even anything to say where the wire from that pin leads too. Most notably found in the anti-theft section.

Now I am not once of those people that write to text book companies about there mistakes, But this is a big one. So infiniti Where is my Money?

What else have you guys found?

We should have a prize give away for the most mistakes found and confirmed. then at least there will be some incentive(s) for people to educate themselves.

The biggest mistake I found was that the manual they gave us is too small, probably made for the small hands they thought we had to work on the car.

I love the cute little illustrations that show a sick/ailing car.

They always struck me as wonderfully out of place. Here's a highly technical manual compiled with a certain implied level of understanding in mind, and over there in the corner of a page is a cute little sad car with a hot thermometer in his mouth.

This has to be the best Nissan/Infiniti FSM cartoon ever!

Nothing like personifying 12VDC and giving him a bat to beat the hell out of your ECU!
