Hah, Infiniti + cheap don't mix (found that out the hard way). Well, are there any places I can get it fixed without going through the dealers. Do you guys know of any places that know how to fix Infiniti's that aren't dealers, cuz lots of places can't do it.

There may be select places you can take it for trustworthy mechanical work, but almost no one, even the dealers, can be relied upon for good diagnostics.

1.) Yep, no further discounts on parts (beyond what Joe gives us) or labor beyond the discounted purchase price you paid because the car is old. and had accumulated deferred maitenance which you are now correcting. It is still a 1995 $55K car when you take it to the shop.

2.) Never found an Infiniti Senior technician not working at the dealer in Seattle. My solution was to take it to Erik at Beaverton Infiniti because the labor rate was less, they dien't mind if I brought my own parts, there is no sales tax, and Eric is a Senior Infiniti Technician. I like Portland also.

Good luck finding cheap, but there is one place I think will treat you right.

Greg's Japanes Auto is not the cheapest, but cheaper than the dealer. The best thing about working with them is you can have real conversations with the service advisors. Some of them are car nuts too. and I hope you're a car nut if you own a Q. The locations closest to you would be Puyallup and Federal Way.
