I don't recall the post to which you refer. But I am willing to bet your VC gaskets are toast.

Welcome to NICO! The PCV valve is located under the trim covers at the front of the engine. You need to download your FSM (factory service manual) - it'll tell you were to find the valve and show drawings. You can get it here.

That said, I agree with Brian... much more likely that your rocker cover gaskets need to be replaced.

yeah you right but im trying to buy time i just bought the car replaced brakes all four and upper links already broke a bolt off trying to tighten valve cover gasket right around the chain link the oil is only seeping out though. Can you see the pcv valve or do you have to remove the plenum?

No, you don't need to remove the plenum. Be careful overtorquing steel bolts into aluminum heads!

Here's a picture I stole from Q45.org. I added a red box around the PCV valve.

I've replaced a few PCV valves, but you can clean them with solvents and air. The oil/dirt turns sticky and changes the precise balance point when valve opens at steady speed cruise.

As rings wear, the added blowby fouls the PCV FASTER so annual cleaning gets to be a requirement!

The valve should rattle [as brand new] when removed.

I'm not sure which bolt you broke. If you're talking about one of the valve cover bolts, then I really don't know how to fix it. My understanding is that the 94+ had studs on the heads and nuts actually hold the rocker cover to the head, so if you broke a stud, that's going to be fun.

I assume they're threaded in to the head but I don't have any experience with them since the 90-93 design is different. It would be worth your time to take a picture and post it here so that we know more of what you're dealing with.

my dad has my camera right now but if your facing the engine its on the right second valve bolt back by the MAF on the bottom the bolt is a 10mm bolt. I snapped the head off, do you think when i finally replace the valve cover gaskets the cover will come off easy or will it be a problem or should i try and remove the 10mm bolt first never replaced valves gasket before
