Hi everyone. I own a 1995 Infiniti Q45 and it has a broken antenna mast. The motor is still good but the mast is broken. I have been trying to find a replacement but all of the ones I see are very expensive. Are there any cheaper alternatives? The antenna motor looks very similar to the motor in a 90s Maxima. Would I be able to use a Maxima antenna mast? I want to keep the power antenna if I can because I hate the look of regular antennas, especially when mounted to the back of a car.

28215-50J06 is your part number. Which in fact cross references to the maxima. I replaced one years ago. I recall it being around 55$ or so just for the mast. Amayama lists for $42 but with shipping would be more. You can probably locate one stateside. Just recently swapped out the unit on my 1990 with that of one of the parts cars. Its a little but touch and go replacing just the mast I recall.

I replaced mine on my 91 Q45 and I got my “rod antenna” mast Nissan part #28215-9B000 and it worked perfectly. It came from 99 Infiniti I30 (Maxima) I got at a “you pull” junk yard. I found it in the unopened package from Nissan in the trunk of this I30. So it appears it might be a pretty generic part for Nissan/Infiniti vehicles. Cost me $5
