I have had better service from a nissan dealership with my sentra then this infiniti dealership.

I dont know where to start.

Ok my wife comes in for a new key.. The dealership I bought the car from says they will pay for one key and write a "we owe" paper. So Infiniti makes the key and it comes out to $487. So they call the dealership I bought the car from and they said only the gm used car manager can give out P.o's and he is gone for the day.

So Infinti says 487 dollars or you cant have your car back. So it took them 5 1/2 hours to resolve this,(With me coming down to the dealership). They would not give my wife and my 4 month old son the keys to the car because they could just not come back or pay for the key.

THEN ON TOP OF ALL THIS BS!!!!

I tell them to do my gas pedal and ecm and tcm update TSB. The service writer says the best mechanic in the Phoenix area drove my car and the tsb doesnt apply because he feels there is no hesitation. So I argue I AM THE CUSTOMER and I want the tsb because I feel a hesistation. WELL...NOW the car is not under warranty.. I have 61000 miles and is a 2002. Well my maintance book says it has a 72month 70000 drivetrain warranty. NOW he says well it only covers things with OIL in them.

My jaw just dropped. I walked out and will never come back.

Has anyone had good experience with the scottsdale arizona dealership?

Well in a sense they are right: Power train warranty only covers engine, transmission, drive shaft, diff, half shafts.

TSB's ARE NOT A RIGHT, just a document to dealers on how to repair a problem.........like an adendum to FSM............NOTHING MORE!

Dealers are independent businesses, if you are unhappy with one you go to another.

Note Infiniti's big drop from #1 for customer satisfaction. Cutting costs and pinching pennies, as if Nissan was taken over by a bunch of French idiots.

Jaguar and Lexus know how to treat people.

Note the first 3 are NICO sponsors!!! They have taken great care of owners here, they should take good care of you in their physical dealership too.

One must know their dealer. The throttle linkage and ECU/TCU upgrade is not covered under power train warranty.

Maybe Superstition (what an ominous name) is an Infinity Dealer?

AHA! Good - not Joe's place. The good news is Infiniti of Scottsdale is right there - one of the best G50 shops in the country.

What I don't understand is... I have a drivetrain warranty. I have a problem with my 5-2 gear downshift. A transmission is what makes the car go forward. So how does my problem not apply to my warranty?

If I take it to joes infiniti dealership, can anyone fix my 5-2 gear hesistation under warranty or are they going to d!ck me over for $120 a hour for 1.3 hours

Heck, call Joe and ask him.

1-888-216-5328

That's the parts department, but he comes highly recommended by dozens of NICO members, including myself. Have a chat with him - tell him what happened.

Yeah, if you can talk to Joe (parts manager) tell him youre from NICO and you know Wes...

Dont necessarily expect them to fix it for FREE (since they dont have to), but theyll tell you whats going on.

I don't know if Infiniti and/or Nissan have gone way down hill but what I'd do is to call their 800 number and get supervisor and let them know how you showed the car to the dealership while it was under warranty, how much you think their dealership SUCKS and see what they can do for you at Scotsdale. With as close as you are I bet they help you out.
