Infiniti Motorsports exhaust

Proud new owner of a 2011 M56x!! Definitely needs a little more sound out of the exhaust. Has anyone tried the factory Infiniti Motorsports axle back exhaust? It looks very similar to the stillen one but has Infiniti etched on the tips! Price is also similar $691. Just wondering if anyone has gone this route? And if so how'd it sound!?

Welcome. Congrats on the car.

I just installed this on my 2013M56xS. It has a slightly deeper sound, a little louder. But it's definitely still tame and responsible. It's not on the level of a Hemi volume, etc. Even with both old mufflers off when i was installing, I started my car and it wasn't as loud as you might expect.

That will save you some money. They will take $600 even if you contact them and make them an offer. I literally bought this last week and installed the next day. The install should be relatively easy too. I had issues with some rusted bolts, as mentioned in a recent thread. Otherwise it would have been simple.

I had to improvise to get them level, had to raise the rubber part of one of the hangers, but you'll figure that out if you can't get them level. Good luck.

I removed the factory exhaust from the flange of the manifold cats back on my car, ran 2.5" pipes with an X-pipe right before the factory resonator location and put 2.5" magnaflow magnapack race mufflers with 2.5" pipes into the OEM exhaust tips. It is as loud as some axleback 5.0 Mustangs when I am on it and still nice and quiet at cruise. Under acceleration it has a very noticeable interior tone but no real resonance or drone. Definately catches the other drivers attention when I roll on it.

Except I did not reuse any of the OEM mufflers. Just te exhaust tips themself. My mufflers are Magnaflow Magnapack race mufflersand they sit where the OEM resonators sat.
