IT WORKS! A 95 Q45 ENGINE DOES WORK FOR A 1991 Q 45. ALL YOU NEED IS THE ENGINE FROM THE 95 AND THATS IT. YOU USE THE 91 HARNESS AND CAM TIMING SENSORE AND MODIFIY THE BRACKET FOR IT.

Conventional wisdom has always been that the hassles of making a clean installation of a 94/95 were such that its almost always worth paying the extra for the more expensive (due to demand) 90-93 engines.A NICO member installed a 94 engine in a 91 (I think) and had gotten the engine free so it was easily worth his time. The physical install was ok, he had drivability problems but was running on original ECU if I recall correctly (its been a couple years so I may be wrong).

He hasn't been active after our switchover to vbulletins so I dont know how its running now and he never posted details about his method.

But I am very excited at the possibilty of accessing 94/95 engines for our 90-93 members.

Fred...:)
