I have a post in this sticky that contains a list of possibilities: zerothread/125907. I am not sure which model year M45 you are referring to, so am not sure of the wheel and size you had in mind.spisam wrote:Has anyone replaced the OEM tires yet on the M45? What high performance tires did you install?
I agree Awesome tire!cremecreme wrote:Kuhmo Ecsta for me.....i love them
The Pilot Sport is an excellent tire indeed! But, don't go for the Pilot Sport AS (all season) version though - the standard Pilot Sport is a better performing tire. If you do need snow driving ability where you live, then get a set of cheap steel wheels and proper winter tires for those months! As I recall, the Pilot Sport is also less expensive than the Pilot Sport AS.spisam wrote:I was refering to the 2006/2007 M45 Sport.
I was looking at Michelin Pilot Sport ultra high oerformance all season245/40zr19 and Invo 245/40zr19 98w.
Comments Please.
Don't confuse the PS2 with other Pilot Sports. It is at a whole level higher. It is NOT an "All Season" tire. The best ones never are.szhosain wrote:The Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 is better (albeit more expensive) and Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 is similar (each compared to the Pilot Sport). The Bridgestone RE050A is also an excellent tire, probably as good as the above tires (perhaps not the PS2 though). All are available in 245/40-19 ... see my tire spreadsheet in the Basic Specs sticky thread.

Yup, agreed! Based on what I have read, I would say the following order:maxnix wrote:Don't confuse the PS2 with other Pilot Sports. It is at a whole level higher. It is NOT an "All Season" tire. The best ones never are.
Oops, I am wrong. There is a 245/45-18 Michelin PS2 - it must be a relatively recent addition to the sizes or I missed it before. Although, at $288 a tire, it is much more expensive than the others.szhosain wrote:since the PS2 is not available in a 245/45-18 ...
