I own a 2011 Infiniti M37x and was wondering if the Injen High Performance air intake would work with my M37x. If not what intakes would fit? Thanks.

Do you know roughly how much performance it adds? Thanks for that "How To" link. That will really help.

I do not. That information can probably also be attained with some time spent Googling. My car (M56) doesn't have any intake options so I haven't researched that information.

Thanks man. I just researched and it doesn't look like they add much or any horsepower at all. What would you suggest as a good way to add power for lets say under $500?

I went with the Takeda Attack for the G37. It took some modding of the car, but it was well worth it. The directions are pinned in the forum.

Exhaust will likely be the most bang for your buck but I doubt you can do anything under $500 unless you have a good friend that can build you a custom exhaust on the side for less money. Even then the parts might be in the $500 range. Intake isn't going to do much for you unless its combined with exhaust. :gotme

After doing research, it is clear that there are only two ways to increase hp on your car.

1) invest in an actual tune + intake system + exhaust mod ( very expensive)
2) trade your M37 for an M56. The mpg is slightly lower but the difference is amazing.

I drive an 09 M35 with the dual intake HR engine and it is clearly NOT even close to the M56, but it has greater acceleration compared to the single intake engine in my 07 M35 (or so it seems to me).

I actually went this route,

http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/infini ... take.html

I got a great deal on the exhaust and sat on it for a couple of months. When I saw this, I said damn, this is it. After I installed it, HUGE difference. I love the fact that @100mph, and when I step on the accelerator the car PULLS. I searching out an exhaust option now. My biggest problem is when I trying to stay off the pedal. I dry more in eco mode, because standard is jumpy and sport is jack rabbit.

I'm looking for exhaust options, but it looks like it is going to have to be custom.... Wife won't like hearing that.

The stillen dry intake is under the hood, of to the side behind the radiator. The modded g37 Takeda sits in front of the radiator.

stillen is easier to install (no modding required), Takeda requires to cut two holes in the radiator supports/brackets to run it past the radiator. Also stillen gets' two cone filters vs takeda's one.

Think I'm going stillen.I dought there's that much difference in ether one.the ram air oem intake peice pushes the cold air into the stillen boxes straight into the stillen filters...so it's getting cold air Instantly.on the takeda intake.the cold air goes into 1 filter and travels further to the throttle body then the stillen.the takeda just looks a littless better and takes longer to I stall.

Time of install wasn't that bad, well worth it. Looks a lot better. Wish there was some body close by with the Stillen intake.

Contact the person that posted the original write up via pm. He will give you exact parts he bought to extend the pipes to work with our longer car.

Yea think mines going back on ebay...stillen is sounding better at this moment.don't have time to be Takin bumper off every time I need to clean it.that's askiNg for scratches to happen to my bumper...if I had the intake gaurd already I might change my mind.at least with the cover it will stay cleaner, longer.

I'm guessing you have the long Takeda intake with the filter in the center...I have the short setup and it was TOO easy to install. They practically bolt themselves on :)

Just letting you know you might want to consider the shorter ones
