Hi. I have a 2011 M37. Was curious how long on average until the first brake job. Thanks.

Well I did my first brake job on my M35 after just 2 days. The brakes are crap and should be replaced with something better.
Now I do a brake job usually every other year.

My 2011 M37s has 60k miles and the brakes have about 50% left on them. I think it depend on you drive the car

Jeremy19, you're getting exceptional life. But you're right, depends on how you drive and how you brake.

28K miles and last inspection checked out ok. tech did not note that the pads are any close to the end of life.

I would also point out that the Sport and non-Sport break components will not be wearing the same (in addition to driving habits)

I live on Maui, drive around 5000 miles a year mostly at 40 mph (60 tops for around 15 miles a week) with occasional traffic lights (versus my old 300 Zx turbo in Florida, 12000 miles/yr highway and city with constant high speed braking, traffic braking, and needing new brakes every 25-30000 miles, and new tires every year and a half or so. Hoping I can get my M37 to 60000 miles like my wife did with her J30 before the first brake job. It does squeal when braking but brakes checked out fine wear wise last week.
